The 10RV self-adjusting brake shoe is designed for 10-inch trailer RVs and trailers, featuring drum-type electric brakes compatible with 3,500-pound axles; it serves as a core braking component for trailers. Equipped with an integrated automatic adjustment mechanism, it can automatically compensate for clearance caused by brake pad wear during driving braking, eliminating the need for frequent manual adjustments. It is compatible with mainstream brake assemblies such as those from Dexter and Lippert, and is widely used in recreational vehicles (RVs) and freight trailers. The brake shoe body is constructed from thickened stamped steel plates paired with high-performance semi-metallic brake pads, which offer high-temperature resistance and thermal stability, ensuring smooth braking response. Matters Need Attention

  1. Before installation, clean the brake drum of oil stains and dust, and ensure the interior remains clean.
  2. After the initial installation is complete, manually adjust the base clearance before proceeding to road running for wear-in.
  3. When the friction plate thickness is less than 2 mm, replace the entire pair of brake shoes.
  4. It is strictly prohibited for brake pads to become contaminated with lubricating oil, as this may lead to brake failure.
  5. Perform regular inspections of the self-adjusting gears to prevent rusting, jamming, or loss of adjustment function.
  6. After replacement, perform low-speed repeated braking to complete the break-in process, followed by a long-distance drive.
  7. Do not mix with hand-adjustable payment adjustment accessories; this will prevent structural malfunctions.
